Backcountry Sportsman is committed to providing a secure and convenient checkout experience. This Payment Policy explains the payment methods we accept and important payment terms.

Accepted Payment Methods

We accept the following payment options (availability may vary by device or location):

  • Credit Cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover

  • Debit Cards (processed as credit where applicable)

  • Shopify Payments

  • PayPal

  • Apple Pay

  • Google Pay

  • Shop Pay (including installments where available)

  • Backcountry Sportsman Gift Cards (if issued by us)

Payment Security

All payments are processed securely through Shopify’s checkout and payment partners using industry-standard encryption and PCI-compliant systems.

  • We do not store your full credit card details.

  • We do not have access to your complete card number.

When You Are Charged

  • Payment is due in full at checkout (unless Shop Pay installments are selected and offered at checkout).

  • Orders are not shipped until payment is successfully authorized and processed.

If a payment cannot be authorized, the order may be delayed or canceled.

Currency

All prices are displayed and charged in USD (United States Dollars) unless otherwise stated.

If you are shopping outside the U.S., your bank or payment provider may charge additional foreign transaction or currency conversion fees. These fees are not controlled by Backcountry Sportsman.

Billing Accuracy & Fraud Prevention

To protect customers and prevent fraud, we may:

  • Request additional confirmation for high-value orders

  • Cancel or hold orders flagged by our fraud-prevention systems
